Community Involvement
Alexander Conti is a community civic activist with many local organizations. He is a former President of the Bay Ridge Community Council, Colonial Club of Bay Ridge, and The Bay Ridge Lion's Club. He is currently President of St. Patrick's Holy Name Society, The Men's Club of Bay Ridge, Professional Business Networking Association, and Executive Business Network Association.
Locally, he is also a member of Ben Bay Kiwanis Knights of Columbus and sits on the Advisory Board of the Guild for Exceptional Children and The Bay Ridge Center for Older Adults.
Alexander is a philanthropist who dedicates his time and energy to many New York City based foundations and projects such as: The National Arts Club, The Coalition of Italo-Americans, Ambassador for the National Italian American Federation, The Columbus Citizen Foundation, Association of the United States Army, The Honorary Deputy Commissioners Foundation, and The Worldwide Children's Foundation which he founded in 2001.
Eger Foundation Recognition
In 2008, The Eger Foundation recognized Alex Conti for his involvement. He assisted the organization in raising $1OO,OOO to benefit the first free-standing hospice residence on Staten Island.
Recipient of the Ellis Medal of Honor
In 2003, Alex Conti was awarded the Ellis Medal of Honor from the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO).
The Worldwide Children's Foundation
The Worldwide Children's Foundation provides life saving surgery to critically ill children worldwide. To date the organization has saved the lives of 32 children from 12 countries. Alex Conti founded the organization in 2001 and is currently the past chairman and past president of this organization. Alex is also involved in many other organizations.
